South African Hip Hop artists Hassan Black & Breed XI is back with stirring second EP - 'DESIRE'
South Africa, 04/03/2023 - After the release of debut EP 'Black', emerging Hip Hop artist Hassan Black returns once again to share 7 track project 'DESIRE'.
The musicians main goal with the EP is to help people going through emotional distress, aiming to share the " the courage to keep going after we've been hurt or defeated, even when it seems like there's no reason to keep going anymore". This spirited intention is fitted into a collection of diverse and entrancing Hip Hop tracks written alongside musician Breed Xl, who mixed and mastered the project.
Listeners can enjoy a multitude of sounds including retro beats in opener 'Navigation', addictive staccato synths in 'Love You' and an overall psychedelic theme throughout as Breed Xl sings out in his reverb heavy and distorted vocals. Lyrics maintain a message to keep on progressing, whether through breakups, longing, or haters and more, with tracks like 'Navigation' and 'Hungry' exhibiting distinctly catchy hooks. There's a clear sense of journey as listeners move through the project too, the EP even ends with a triumphant finish accentuated by potent beat drops and Trap 808’s.
